Hyderabad: Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) XI today defeated Indian Premier League-II winners Deccan Chargers in a Twenty20 practice match by six wickets with nine balls to spare at the Rajiv Gandhi International stadium here.

Chasing the target of 161, HCA XI made 162 for four in 18.3 overs with important contributions from Anirudh Singh (75), Arjun Yadav (26) and S Anoop Pai (25).

Deccan Chargers made 161 runs for six in 20 overs with the help of some good batting from VVS Laxman (48) and Scott Styris (49).
